Happenings of our lives

We never took pictures of our apartment when we lived there, but I thought that we should take a video and pictures of it. So, if you want to watch the movie, click on the picture and it should be the first image in the gallery.

We love our house, we’re so happy here. There were a couple of things that we wanted to change before we moved. I wanted to paint the living room but I don’t think that will happen, the ceilings are really high and painting the bedroom was enough work. So we’ve really only done two things since we moved in.

Jordan picked out the color, I thought it was kind of dark, but it looks great. It is called “Dusty Olive” from the Behr Premium Plus Ultra. We really like it. I think it looks great with the trim. Since we painted and set everything up, we’ve put up curtains, put the treadmill in, and bought shelves for the side of the bed.

The next day, I put hardware on the cabinets in the kitchen and all the bathrooms. I used the new drill that we bought right before we moved into the house. So here are those pictures:

This year I decided that we were going to plant some tomatoes. I knew that we’d be lucky to have a couple before we moved, but I thought it would be good practice. Anyway, we planted them and took care of them all summer and guess what? We got a ton of tomatoes before we moved. I even went back after we moved to get more (when I was in Utah).

I planted 4 plants and we got so many tomatoes before we moved. I picked all the ones that were remotely red or orange. Last week I bought some tomatoes from Wal-Mart and they were not nearly as good as the home grown ones. I’m so excited that our house has a big backyard so that we can have a big garden next year. I’m already thinking of what we can plant .

As I said yesterday, Jordan and I wanted to visit our favorite places in Provo before we left. We really don’t eat out very much, but there was a restaurant on Center Street called Ottavio’s that we had been to before that we really liked. It was the first restaurant that we went to eat at together (the PenCourt in the Eyring Science Center doesn’t count) and it is the same restaurant that we ate at right before we got married. So we decided to go there. Well, much to our dismay, we got there and it had been closed. So we decided to go to Gloria’s Little Italy (it was right down the street). We also tried out our new camera.

Jordan got gnocchi and a house sauce and I got Tort elloni alla boscaiola which is basically tortellini in a mushroom sauce. Overall, it was pretty good, we had a good time and it gave us a break from packing.

Jordan’s xbox 360 started acting weird last night when Nathan tried to play Halo 3. So we tried to restart the consol and this is what resulted:

For those of you not familiar with Xbox 360, those lights are suppose to be green (like the center) and not flashing red.

Jordan said those are called the blinking red lights of death (that means not good). So anyway, Jordan looked on the Microsoft website, and there is a 1 year warranty on Xbox 360’s, but a 3 year warranty on blinking red light stuff. So, guess he’s getting a new xbox.
